Orogen Limited is a Wellington-based consultancy specialising in civil engineering, land surveying, resource management planning, and environmental services. We work across the full lifecycle of land development and infrastructure projects, from initial feasibility through to construction completion and title issuing.

Founded in 2016, Orogen started in a Porirua garage with a simple idea: that clients deserved a consultancy that stayed hands-on, moved quickly, and stayed in it until the job was properly done. Ten years on, we've grown into a team of around 30 professionals working from offices in Wellington, Kāpiti, and Palmerston North having delivered over 2,500 projects for more than 1,000 clients, councils, and consultants across the Wellington, Kāpiti, Horowhenua, and Manawatu regions.

What sets us apart is integration. Our Licensed Cadastral Surveyors, Chartered Professional (Civil) Engineers, resource management planners, and environmental specialists all work under one roof. That means a residential subdivision, a commercial development, or a piece of community infrastructure can move from concept, to consent, to construction without the information gaps and delays that come from coordinating multiple firms. Clients get a single team that knows the project from the start.

Our work touches projects you see and use every day. New neighbourhoods being developed across the Wellington region. Roads and three-waters infrastructure being designed and built. Public infrastructure being designed and delivered for local councils and government agencies. Medium density housing providing homes for families. We help make those projects happen on time, within budget, and with the right approvals in place.

Whether it's a first two-lot subdivision or a large-scale infrastructure programme, the approach is the same: understand the terrain, find the best path through it, and keep moving.
